Returns & refunds
30-day return period
At Duifhuizen there’s a 30-day return period in which you can return the product to us if needed. Naturally, it’s possible to return the item free of charge if it arrives faulty. You can also return an item if you want to exchange it or decide not to keep it. In that case the shipping costs are not reimbursed. (You can find more details further down.)
Items that have been customised according to your specifications can't be returned. If a returned item is unnecessarily damaged, incomplete or has insufficient postage attached, Duifhuizen may charge you for this. The resulting costs could be deducted off your refund. However, we will always contact you about it beforehand.
Returning items by post
Do you want to return an item? No problem. You can return items to Duifhuizen by post from any country in the world. To make the return process as smooth as possible, we kindly ask you to take the following into consideration:
- The item must be returned within the 30-day return period.
- The item must be returned in its original condition, undamaged and in its original box and packaging if reasonably possible.
- Return the item to the address that is included on the return form.
- Make sure the current sticker has been made illegible and the return address is written on the box instead.
- The package should contain sufficient postage. (If the warranty applies, you will be reimbursed for these costs later.)
- Once we have received your return, Duifhuizen bags & travel will send you a confirmation of receipt via email.
After dissolution we will transfer the purchase price, payment costs (if any) and shipping costs (if applicable, please "Free returns of faulty items" and "exchanging or returning items" below) to your bank account as soon as possible but within 5 days at the very latest. Please note: how long it takes to transfer the money depends on your bank and your country of residence.
Free returns & refunds of faulty items
We ship our orders with the greatest care. However, should the order be incomplete, damaged or otherwise not in order upon arrival, you can count on us to help you out! In such a case, we ask that you please contact our customer service as quickly as possible by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by any of the other ways listed on our contact page. We will then try to solve it in an appropriate way. This includes the possibility of returning the item to us free of charge, even if it is a sale or clearance item.
Returning a faulty item to us by post can be done as described above under “returning items by post”. You will need to attach sufficient postage. However, we’ll refund you these shipping costs along with the purchase price and payment costs (if any) after we’ve received the return item.

Please note: You may also use the standard form for right of withdrawal as determined by law to report your return (within the 30-day return period). After this period has expired, you have another 14 days to return the item. You can find the form at the bottom of our general terms and conditions.
Exchanging or returning items
It’s perfectly possible to exchange or return an item for whatever reason. However, you will be responsible for paying the accompanying shipping costs. We also ask that you please return your order within the return period (30 days) and take into consideration the requirements listed above under “returning items by post”. After we’ve received and assessed your return item, we’ll refund your order (not including the shipping costs). The exchange of an item for the same item in a different colour, model or size is regarded as a new order. The usual shipping costs for processing and delivering this order will be charged
