At Duifhuizen bags & travel we value your privacy. In this privacy statement, we would like to inform you about the way we process your data and how we treat and protect your data confidentially.

What do we do with the data you entrust to us?
When you place an order at our website, we use personal data. This applies to:

Create an account and log in to our website
When you have created an account at our website, we store the personal data you have provided via the user name you have chosen.
We keep this information so that you do not have to enter it every time you want to log in. We use it to be able to contact you in order to carry out our agreement. If you have an account with us and log in to our website, you have direct access to your data where you can set up, specify and change your information yourself.
Online shopping with an account
If you log in to your Duifhuizen account before placing your order, the details of your order are automatically linked to your account.
This way you have an overview of what you have previously purchased and we can handle your order even more efficiently. If you place an order, we process all necessary data to handle the order including your name, (delivery) address, e-mail address, details about your order, payment details and any feedback you may have.
Online shopping without an account
You can also shop at our webshop without an account. In that case, we only process the following personal details that are necessary for the proper handling of your order: your name, (delivery) address, e-mail address, details about your order, payment details and any feedback you may have.
Picking up orders at one of our stores
When you have purchased products through our webshop, you can choose to pick them up in one of our stores. When you pick up your order, we can ask you for proof of your identity card. We will only verify your identity to determine that you are entitled to collect the order. We do not store this information. We only register your name, the date that the order came in and was picked up by you, details regarding the order, the payment and any feedback you may have.
Duifhuizen uses social media such as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. When you follow us on our social media accounts or communicate with us through your social media account, we may process the details of your public profile from your social media account. Depending on the settings of your profile and the action you choose yourself (for example like our news message on Facebook) our marketing messages and news items can be shown on your news feed.
When you communicate with us through social media (for example by placing content on our profile, sending us personal messages, (re)tweeting or liking messages) we can process your personal data to answer your messages or your shown interest.
Newsletter & e-mail
We send you different types of e-mails. You will receive e-mails as a result of your purchase, for example with information about your order, a review request or tips about your product.
In addition, we send newsletters and personal offers by email (only in dutch on Duifhuizen.nl), but only when you have indicated that you want to receive it. The content of the newsletter is personalized; based on your purchases, your stated interests and the products you have viewed at our website.
The newsletter is only sent to the e-mail address you have entered. We keep a record of this. Of course you can always immediately unsubscribe or view and / or change your details.
Customer satisfaction is our priority. To measure this, we will send you an e-mail if you have made a purchase. We do this to learn from your experience with your purchase and your satisfaction. This way you can tell us what can be improved or how to adapt our product range.

To analyse the data, we use the web analysis tool Google Analytics, provided by Google. Furthermore we use Feedback and A/B testsoftware of Hotjar and VWO. The cookies of Google Analytics, Hotjar and VWO enable us, among other things, to see how often our website is visited and which pages of our website are most frequently viewed.

The collected information is processed in statistics and is used by us to optimize our website to be able to serve you even better. The collected information is not used by us to identify you as a person.
We have concluded a processor agreement with these partners to make agreements about the handling of our data. Furthermore, we allow Google to use the obtained Analytics information for other Google services we use, such as product offers and (regional) advertisements. Finally, we do not anonymize the IP addresses.
Bluetooth at our stores
When you visit one of our stores and have location data and / or bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet, our system can identify your smartphone or tablet. Our bluetooth sensors process the MAC address that is transmitted by your device and determine your location near our stores
We use this information to analyze how many customers visit our stores at a certain moment and how long they are in the store.
We do not use this information to make analyses of the behavior of individual customers, nor to identify you as a person. We also receive statistical data only.
If you do not want the WiFi or Bluetooth signal from your smartphone or tablet to be recognized, you can turn this signal off. You can usually find your MAC address in the information screen of your smartphone or tablet under the settings menu.
Who has access to your data
We can pass on your data to our partners if this is necessary for our services. These partners are: delivery partners, suppliers or repairers, payment partners, IT service providers and parties that collect our reviews.
We only provide data to media and advertising partners, such as Google, so we can give you personal advice or show targeted advertisements through our own advertisements, for example based on your interest in certain products. In suspicious situations we are obliged to share client data with government agencies.
We take security measures to limit unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we take the following measures:
- Access to personal data is protected with a user name and password
- We take physical measures for access protection of the systems in which personal data are stored
- We use secured connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) that protect all information between you and our website when you enter personal data
- We keep logs of all requests for personal data
For how long do we keep your data?
The personal data described above will be stored for as long as necessary to process your orders, including warranty and / or repair. We then store data for a maximum of seven years for the statistical purposes described. The data will then be erased unless there is a statutory obligation that requires longer storage (such as the seven-year fiscal retention obligation for payment data).
Websites of third parties
This privacy statement does not apply to websites of third parties that are connected to our webshop by means of links.
